Hey, remember those days when you used to pretend that the carpet was lava, so you jumped from couch to couch for hours on end? Well now you can make a lava carpet for real! Here's a tutorial that goes through how to use a lava shader mostly using the material nodes inside the hypershade. It gets kind of crazy with all the connecting nodes, but there are lots of pictures, and it looks pretty easy to follow. The end result is really cool.
